This is a basic obedience class that gets your puppy started out on the right paw. In this class we utilize the AKC S.T.A.R. puppy program. This program is designed to not only help teach basic commands, but manners too. By following the AKC guidelines your puppy will be able to test for their certificate at the end of class. This program mirrors the AKC Canine Good Citizen, but is design specifically for puppies.

In this class we will cover many basic obedience commands including: sit, down, come, stay and leave-it. In addition we will work on loose leash walking. We will cover other items including handling for an examination, working with distractions and much more. There will be play time in this class, but not as much as in kindergarten, so we do recommend taking kindergarten class first if applicable.
